The Cottonwood Hotel is the historic renovation of the former Blackstone Hotel, one of Omaha's most storied properties. Originally built in 1915, the building served as office space for Kiewit for several decades before GreenSlate led its transformation into a full-service boutique hotel, completed in 2020. The $78 million project delivered 205 guest rooms, three food and beverage outlets — The Orleans Room, The Committee Chophouse, and The Cottonwood Room — as well as event space. Operating as a Kimpton property, the Cottonwood serves as both an anchor for the Blackstone District and one of Omaha's most celebrated historic renovations.
